Every wedding is under a theme and/or color selection this season we will be witnessing dust rose and pastel blues combined with rustic jewel tones such as emerald green and burnt orange. Not only will we be witnessing the mixture of jewel tones and pastel shades.

Bridesmaids are wearing velvet this fall.  This Fall 2016 we will witness the use of the color burgundy for bridesmaid dresses. We will also see the use of burgundy velvet to be exact. Velvet is huge when it comes to cool seasons especially for fall. However, this fall wedding season we will begin to see it in a much bigger way.

Not only will w witness velvet and burgundy in the bridesmaids dresses and shoes we will also see it displayed on the groomsmen as well. From ties to their shoes the color burgundy and velvet will surely make a statement this year.

Let’s face it we all go to weddings excited to see what the bride and her bridesmaids will wear and how they will pull off their theme. This fall we will be seeing a lot of fur (faux fur). Faux fur will be used on brides and bridesmaids as well. From long faux fur coats, that are knee-length to sophisticated shawls that cover the bride’s shoulders.

Fur accents give the wedding an old Hollywood glam that can be worn for many years to come. When choosing a fur coat or shawl always keep your dress in mind. The fur accent should appear to compliment your dress not compete with it.

Your wedding invitations do not have to be the only area in your wedding that you include calligraphy. Flowers always seem to be one of the first things a bride will look into once she starts preparing for her big day. The reason behind this is flowers tend to be seasonal so you want to get your flower arrangements decided before you decide on anything else. This will also help you choose the proper theme that will work for you. This fall’s wedding flower trend is freshly picked flowers.

You want a wild arrangement of flowers in rustic colors such as burgundy, orange, plum and green. Flower arrangements are trending to be more organic rather than put together and neat. Start saying goodbye to large over the top cakes. This fall season we are looking at smaller topless cakes. The trend of having a “naked” cake instead of it being covered in frosting or fondant has completely taken over. Instead of covering the cake with fondant or frosting couples are now looking into adding small details such as bunches of bloom or greenery.

Oh how we are loving the braid trend. Braids have truly taken over 2016 with a storm. They are being incorporated in everything you can think of. And bridal hair is no exception. We are expecting to see a more mystical look when it comes to braids. Not only will the braids be more low key but they will have accessories in them like Baby’s-breath, jewels and flowers of all kinds.

The great part about incorporating a braid in your hair for your special day is you have so much versatility. You can have a full braided updo, or you can choose to incorporate a braid in your hair with waves the options are endless. They can be transformed into so many styles they go with every wedding theme you can imagine.

5-Floral Accessories

If flower crowns were the trend for 2015 then floral accessories are the trend for 2016. Flowers have always been a big part of weddings regardless of the theme there are always flowers incorporated somewhere. Yes some beaches don’t require permits but they may have size restrictions and tent restrictions not to mention other things to consider.

Unlike a reception hall or a restaurant that comes with already installed lighting. When it comes to a beach wedding, you will have absolutely no light but natural daylight. This can become a challenge as you will need to find a way to add the proper lighting to your wedding while still keeping the beach feel. The good news is sand is a great form of covering up pesky electrical cords that may have to hang around the floor.

One way to add lighting to your beach wedding is by using lanterns or candles that will add personality and dimension to your wedding atmosphere.

At a traditional wedding, you would have your footwear all sorted out. People arrive in formal attire with their shoes on and enjoy the rest of the evening. For example, thicker fabrics will not work for a beach wedding as it will become too warm for the bride. As well as heavier wedding dresses will not work neither because it can become very heavy for the bride to carry while walking on sand.

We would recommend a light fabric and more simple fabric such as lace. Lace will allow the bride to travel freely among her guest and wedding party.

Much like lighting wedding photos, your beach photos will require careful planning and thoughtfulness.  The reason being that you will not have the built-in lighting that a ballroom or church would have. This may make taking candid photos a bit more difficult as your photographer waits for the sun to pass through the clouds. It is sometimes very favorable to take beach shots during the overcast morning hours, however for that soft glow which can be very hard to achieve with canned light.  However, with a little bit of planning ahead you can achieve the photos you have always dreamed of and you may be surprised at how beautiful they can be without the direct sun.

We recommend finding a location at the beach that is well lit with natural lighting and/or lighting that you may install. The key to great photos is always having excellent lighting and it doesn’t hurt to hire an excellent photographer as well.  You want to make sure that you choose a photographer who understands natural light and has the right filters for his camera and be sure that he also has experience shooting a beach wedding successfully. You may also want to take advantage of appropriate beach props and include your wedding party as well.

6. Beach wedding Essential- Prepare for the Heat

Unlike having a wedding in a ballroom or banquet you will not have the luxury of having air conditioning or air ventilation at your wedding. Which may be somewhat of an inconvenience to your guests. For this reason it is important to prepare for the heat. There are ways you can make your guests feel more comfortable without compromising your decoration or wedding theme. Having umbrellas at your wedding as part of your decoration can add a cooling shade while maintaining a contemporary look.

You can also add woven fans to your guest seating. Woven fans will allow your guest to fan themselves whenever they feel the need to do so. If you are trying to find a way to maintain your wedding cool from the heat at all times you may want to consider a draped tent. A draped tent will keep your guests under shade the entire wedding while adding a mystical feel to your wedding theme, also consider boho tipis.

Modesty was fundamental in the 1990s bridal gowns were very modest with high necklines and long sleeves, occasionally layered with gloves. Veiled hats and long trains were very prevalent in this time period.
On the left side we have the classic 1990s look with a beautiful but modest neckline, while on the right we have the evolved version of the dress. With a deeper V and risen sleeves, this bride bares a bit more skin; however, the dress and appearance are still kept very modest.

The 1920s was a complete change for bridal gowns. Modesty was no longer in. Shortening the hem and plunging the neckline, fun dresses were all the rave in the 1920s. Pieces of the 10s endured, still seeing covered arms, but long dresses were no longer the look for bridal gowns.
One the left we have the classic 1920s look: short and flirty with decadent accessories and embellishments. On the right we have the evolved version, which showcases the essence of the Great Gatsby in all of its deserved glory.

The 1950s is a classic era. We can thank Elizabeth Taylor for this, who made the sweetheart neckline the must-have; it was likewise the era of lace.
Look at the dress on the left, and you have the classic 1950s lace-sweetheart combination, with the newly-introduced, tea length dress. On the right you have the evolved version with multiple layers of lace, an eye-catching hem, and delicate pops of red lips and nails to kick it into our decade.

1960s

The 1960s was the year of the flower print. Floral and metallic detailing became very popular among bridal gowns, as did empire lined silhouettes. And, while gown length returned, veil length began to retract upward, skimming the lower back and even shoulders.
On the left you have the perfect 1960s gown with an empire waist and floral design and shortened veil. On the right you have today’s recreation, which showcases a building floral design brushing the top of a champagne colored gown with a sweetheart neckline and the shortened veil.

The 1980s was the decade of BIG and BOLD, and “The bigger, the better.” Bridal gowns doubled in size. Big puffy dresses, with cathedral trains and full veils strutted through this decade proudly. Inserting color into your gown also became a big trend. Choice colors included beige, ivory, champagne and magnolia pink.
On the left you have the classic 1980s dress with the iconic cathedral train and well-endowed shoulder decor. On the right you have the evolved version; while sleeveless, the encrusted jewels and princess ball gown skirt definitely descent from 1980.

The 1990s was the decade of the simple and minimal bridal look. Although the hair was big, the gown was simple. Lace and beads fell from bridal fashion as the silhouette became the star. Flower crowns replaced overdone veils, and natural-hued makeup played upon the bride’s usual features.
Simple, yet tailored to the bride, we at Weddinc love the simplicity the 1990s brought to us. The focus draws toward the bride rather than the gown by baring unadorned skin. While our version of this dress has added detailing, it acts as personality for the bride to own, rather than being overtaken by all the bells and whistles, or should I say tulle and sparkles.

There may be now year of the fish according to the Chinese calendar, but 2010 proves this to be wrong. This decade is bridal gowns that curve and hug, making the fishtail gown one of the most popular bridal gowns of this era, but this is about all brides of this era have in common. This time marks one of the most versatile. Creeping out of the church and into destination weddings, experimenting with brighter, bolder color schemes, and implementing various cultural traditions, this decade is one of personality!
The dress on the left is a traditional fishtail paired with a sweetheart neckline and incorporating gems and lace to bring attention to the bride’s curvature. The dress on the right gets a bit bolder by implementing a slight train into the skirt itself and introducing a bejeweled, halter neckline

One things that really caught our attention was the towering flower walls. Kim personally told her wedding planner that she wanted these blooming beauties to be plotted throughout the ceremonial space. Now, not many of us can afford soaring walls of our favorite flowers, but what we love is that Kim took a traditional idea and made it her own. Christina has always been a showstopper, and she did not let the tradition of a wedding confine her creativity. Christina rocked this gown because it was completely her personality. Not only did it create a statement piece, but her womanly confidence was not overtaken even by a dress as intricate as this one. Whether it is ruffles or gems, color or pattern, play up your personal style and turn your isle into the catwalk you have always wanted the opportunity to strut across.

George Clooney & Amal Alamuddin’s wedding, estimated to be worth $4.6 million, included a two-day festivity of helicopter and boat rides open exclusively to family and friends. 

Surprisingly, those extras are not what took our breath away. Amal’s custom designed Oscar de la Renta gown made with French Lace is what wowed us. The dress was a delicate and elegant off the shoulder design with just the right amount of lace. While French imported lace and a world renowned designer may be out of reach, spin-offs of both are not. Remember that friend from grade school who was far better at drawing than you? Ask her to sketch while you explain – design a one-of-a-kind piece that only you will wear.

Prince William & Kate Middleton’s wedding was calculated to be worth $34 million dollars, which included over 1,900 guests, state carriages, and roles for the foot guards.

The wedding was considered a holiday and was viewed by over 34 million people on YouTube. What we loved about this wedding William’s and Kate’s grand arrival in their horse-drawn carriage. We love the concept, as many women would love to include a carriage in their wedding, but we know that regardless of a carriage, the bride’s entrance is a moment no person dares to divert their eyes. So, make yours special, and maybe even include your pouch – we know he is always up for a walk.

We fell in love with the cultural aspect of their wedding. We adore the idea of including such a beautiful and personal element of a couple’s life into such a significant day. However, the scenery was not what stole the show. We have included a couple of stuning dresses thus far, but Jessica Biel’s dress has us tickled pink. The dress added color to the entire wedding, making it one of our favorite gowns on the list. We have written about this before, but here it is, a colored gown, experimented with and totally working! Biel stunned not only her new hubby, but all of her guests but moving away from the traditional color schemes and adding a bit of fun into her design.

The dress alone is reason for making our list, a Victorian style ivory gown with embroidering throughout. But, the veil made the dress seem even more put together by adding a little bit of volume and an enduring train. Being shorter in front gave the veil volume, while keeping the back long accentuated the length of the dress. We can take from this wedding the form of the veil and how it went so perfectly with the dress by playing on its features and melting into the look rather than standing alone.
